Introduction
Let’s take a look at Gold’s year so far: a parabolic run to an all-time high in January, followed by one of the more sustained corrections the metal has seen in years. After falling more than a quarter from that peak, price has spent the last few weeks doing something it hadn’t done since the top — moving sideways rather than down. That shift is what we will focus on today because it might be an opportunity to catch the next bull leg up.
Trend Analysis

Lets start by looking at the RSI, it is trending higher while the price is remaining sideways. It is telling us that price is not yet reflecting the underlying strength of the market so it leans us slightly to a bullish bias. We do not need to try and predict the move but as traders, placing bets and thinking in probabilities the RSI could be giving the signal of an early bullish breakout. If that move does occur it is not likely that it will be as strong as the previous uptrend however.
Right now, the 50 MA is going to be the first target then eventually the 200 MA at 4,616.
