Dow Jones Futures (YM) Technical Analysis, 10 September 2026

Introduction

Dow Jones futures are sitting above a clear support zone at 51,938, and there is a slight bearish bias in US equities right now. On the 10 September session price is 52,601. Price has also slipped under the 50 moving average at 53,120, which is now resistance.

Until support breaks or holds, trade the map: 51,938 / 52,601 / 53,120. PPI and jobless claims are the wildcard and could shift the tone into the close.

Dow Jones Futures Trend Analysis

The light blue area on the chart is support around 51,938. That is the important level. YM has pulled back from the August highs and is leaning toward that zone with a slight bearish bias. If the bears stay in control and we get a daily close below 51,938, that support is broken and the short term map opens lower.

If the bulls can defend 51,938 and reclaim the moving average at 53,120 on a daily close, the slight bearish bias starts to ease and that overhead line is the first hurdle they have to clear.

We are not chasing a break of support into the data. Let the close choose hold above 51,938 or a break below it.

51,938Support zone. The important level on this chart.

Possible Trades

Scenario 1: Breakdown

  • Entry trigger: daily close below 51,938
  • Stop: above 53,120
  • Target: support break (no lower print in this packet)

Scenario 2: Bullish defense

  • Entry trigger: daily close back above 53,120
  • Stop: below 51,938
  • Target: bearish bias eased (no higher stretch target in this packet)

Scenario 3: Range / do not chase

If YM holds above 51,938 and below 53,120, we stay out of the middle. The slight bearish bias is already on the chart. Chasing a break into PPI and claims is the trade we do not take. Let the close choose 51,938 or 53,120.
