Bio

Peter Wadkins has a wealth of experience in the financial markets having started his career at Nat West London as a trainee in their currency dealing room following a 2-year stint in the bank's management training program. He worked his way up through the ranks and moved to Marine Midland Bank London's International Treasury Management (ITM) team specializing in helping corporate clients manage their foreign exchange exposures. He was transferred to New York and headed up the corporate FX desk and latterly ran the head office ITM team. He then went onto a successful career at various international banks in New York becoming Treasurer of two different banks, President of Forex USA (ACI) where he sat on the Foreign Exchange Committee of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as the ACI observer. He moved into the brokering business in the late 1990s, specializing in emerging market currencies and introduced Asian NDFs to the NY broker market. He changed careers in the mid 2000s joining Thomson Financial as a Senior Currency Analyst prior to the merger with Reuters and remained with them for 12 years covering major currency pairs and emerging market currencies.
